1.God wants each of us to have a healthy, humble view of ourselves, which is why He included verses in the Bible like Romans 12:3 and Philippians 2:3,4. Take time to look up these two scriptures in a few different Bible translations and write out the version that speaks to you most deeply.

2.The Bible says that as believers, we are all members of the Body of Christ. To keep us from getting puffed up in pride, the Holy Spirit prompted Paul to write First Corinthians 12:12-27. Take a few moments to reflect on this passage. How do Paul’s words encourage you to know you have value? How do they help you appreciate the gifts in others? What else is the Holy Spirit speaking to you through this passage?

3.Seditions and heresies are two works of the flesh that deal with not wanting to yield to authority. What does God say about all authority in Romans 13:1-7 — especially in verse 1 and 2? How does this passage challenge your attitudes, actions, and thinking toward those in authority?
